Creative Writing Minor
Mercyhurst College offers a minor in creative writing for students wishing to enhance their chosen degree program by developing skills in creative writing, with a curriculum that focuses on composing fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction.
The course requirements for the writing minor include:
- American Classics and British Classics
- Preseminar course in 20th century fiction or 20th century poetry
- An additional English elective, either a preseminar or special topics seminar
- Three designated courses as follows:
- Introduction to Creative Writing
- Creative Writing - Fiction
- Creative Writing - Poetry
