Students interested in pursuing careers as English teachers are encouraged to choose the education concentration under the English major.

  1. Two 100-level courses in addition to the core:

  3. Three 300-level special topics seminars from each of the following categories:

  4. Eight designated courses as follows:

    • 20th Century Criticism
    • Applied Linguistics
    • Teaching Writing: Pedagogy and Practice
    • Oral Interpretation or Basic Acting

  5. Two required course required by the Education department:
