Writing Minor
Strong writing skills are important to any profession or educational track. Mercyhurst College offers a minor in writing for students wishing to enhance their chosen degree program by developing advanced competency in writing, with a curriculum that focuses on advanced writing, theory, and language.
The course requirements for the writing minor include:
- Three 200- or 300-level major electives
- Four 300-level writing seminars, as follows:
- Advanced Composition
- Applied Linguistics
- Professional Writing Seminar
- History of Criticism or 20th Century Criticism
